For a copywriter and creative director, there’s no greater thrill than naming and branding a company from scratch. Especially a company that does good.
Becca Gibson, LCSW-C, approached me in 2024 to share some big news: they were leaving their full-time job to launch a private therapy practice focused exclusively on late-diagnosed neurodivergent adults. They had the clinical expertise; what they needed was a brand that would be safe, smart, and radically affirming for their community. Together, we created the Wired Differently Therapy brand. I presented a dozen different name options, and Becca chose one that speaks directly to their audience’s lived experience without pathologizing it. All of these different elements allowed Becca to create their own branded assets and social media content. Now all of their ongoing work reflects the brand look and feel we’ve already established and their practice is thriving.
The Wired Differently Therapy Tone & Voice Guide helps Becca and any future employees ensure the voice of the company is consistent across places and platforms.
After naming the company and fleshing out the voice and tone, I got to work creating a full brand identity; it was important to build a visual world that would be clear, calming, and unmistakably neurodivergent-affirming for Becca’s prospective clients and colleagues.
After the brand infrastructure was put in place, we were ready to design the comprehensive Wired Differently Therapy website. The website needed to demonstrate Becca's expertise in the neurodivergent mental health space, clearly list out their services and capabilities, and become a destination where they could update the content to be as relevant and hard-hitting as possible.
